Brendon Falconer grew up in York, Pennsylvania, where he developed an early appreciation for structure and achievement. As a dedicated student and competitive track and field athlete, he learned lessons in focus and perseverance that would later guide his executive career.

He earned an accounting degree from Kent State University, building a strong technical foundation in financial principles. He later completed an MBA at Indiana State University, where he expanded his understanding of management, strategy, and organizational leadership. This academic preparation positioned him to assume greater responsibility within the banking sector.

Technical Depth and Risk Management

Brendon’s expertise spans financial accounting, asset and liability management, management reporting, and data analytics. He has specialized in econometric modeling, ACL development, and stress-testing frameworks, thereby strengthening institutional risk assessment and compliance processes. His work emphasizes careful analysis and consistent evaluation of performance metrics.

In addition to his core financial responsibilities, he has contributed to mergers and acquisitions, credit analysis, financial modeling, and investment portfolio oversight. He has supported the development of hedging and derivatives strategies while overseeing investor relations and performance measurement. His approach integrates analytical precision with practical execution.

Leadership at Old National Bank

In February 2014, Brendon became senior vice president at Old National Bank, leading management reporting and data analytics. He was responsible for enterprise financial, operational, and credit reporting, as well as for developing and maintaining ACL and stress-testing models. During this time, he helped introduce the bank’s first formal data science role and supported the development of a business intelligence platform to improve reporting capabilities.

In September 2016, he advanced to treasurer, overseeing liquidity, capital planning, market risk sensitivity, investment portfolio management, and treasury operations. He centralized consumer loan and deposit pricing and implemented a revised deposit pricing framework that strengthened performance outcomes. He also introduced hedging strategies that helped protect interest income from 2019 to 2020.

Since May 2019, Brendon Falconer has served as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer. His responsibilities now include financial accounting, reporting, tax, treasury, data analytics, procurement, facilities oversight, and leadership of finance teams. During his tenure, Old National Bank expanded to more than $46 billion in combined assets, including the acquisition of a $20 billion Chicago bank.

Industry Voice and Community Engagement

Brendon has also participated in industry dialogue through speaking engagements at the “Acquired or Be Acquired” banking conference, where he addressed core system selection and enhanced credit analytics. Outside of finance, he remains connected to athletics, having placed third in the decathlon at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships and competed in the 2000 Olympic Trials. He is also active in nonprofit and educational initiatives, serving in financial advisory roles within his community.
